A woman was waiting at the airport one night,
With several long hours before her flight.
She hunted for a book in the airport shop,
Bought a baPoem : Cookie Thiefg of cookies and found a place to drop.
She was engrossed in her book, but happened to see,
That the man beside her, as bold as could be,
Grabbed a cookie or two from the bag between,
Which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene
She read, munched cookies, and watched the clock,
As the gustly "cookie thief" diminished her stock
She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by,
Thinking, "If I wasn't so nice, I'd blacken his eye!"
With each cookie she took, he took one too.
When only one was left, she wondered what he'd do.
with a smile on his face and a nervous laugh,
He took the last cookie and broke it in half.
He offered her half, and he ate the other.
She snatched it from him and thought, "Oh brother,
This guy has some nerve, and he's also so rude,
Why, he didn't even show any gratitude!"
She had never known when she had been so galled,
And sighed with relief when her flight was called.
She gathered her belongings and headed for the gate,
Refusing to look at the "thieving ingrate".
She boarded the plane and sank in her seat,
Then sought her book, which was almost complete.
As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise.
There were her bag of cookies in front of her eyes!
"If mine are here," she moaned with despair.
"Then the others were his and he tried to share!"
Too late to apologize, she realized with grief,
That she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief!!!!
it has been a while i have so much to tell you. i recently gotten married in november and i would like to ask you a question in regards to that. you ready>>>>> what would you give a newly married couple who both is trying to learn the deen together???
Tried to leave a message for you the other day but I don't think it worked. I am still learning how to navigate this site. I also supmitted a poem but accidently submitted it to the WHOLE group instead of the peotry group. I guess I will figure it out ev entually. Anyway. Saidi and I clossed the store and are just doing mail order. I guess it is kind of semi retired although Saidi refuses to call it that. But it is great. I will have more free time as soon as I finish unpacking my office and setting it up in our apartment. Saidi now has an office and warehouse space in North O. He is still busy getting that organized.
He is in KC now picking up our grandson Shakur. Shakur is going to stay with us for a few weeks and help Saidi with his office.
Evi is pregnant again and I am planning to go to Texas in June to help her out with the new baby.
Cheo was by the apartment yesterday. I plan to visit India and the kids soon. Now I will have more time to spend with the family and I am happy about that.
I got bad news the other day that one of my friends apostated. She told me herself, so I know it is true. That really hurt me and I am worreid for her. I said all I could think of to get her to, at lieast, think about changing her mind but I don't think that it helped.
I am so excited that I will have more time to also work on my geneology project, my novel, and other projects.
What are you doing lately? Where are you now? When do you plan to visit Omaha again or to, better yet, move back? What is the community like there?

Thanks for your reply. I'M doing find. Also it is nice hearing that Nzingah traveled too Timbuktu; to study Arabic and Islam. I'M so glad your here. I hope you like your stay. Yes she is a very tuff Lady. May Allah reward her for her efford.

Good to hear from you. How are you doing? I pray that things are going well for you. Guess what. Nzingah is in Timbuktu. She went there to study Arabic and Islam. She flew from here to Dakar Senegal then too a 4 day train ride to Timbuktu. Not a regular train ride. But a ride on a train that had wooden seats, not air contitioning in what was probably 100 degree weather with goats and chickens. At least that is what Ibrahim said the ride would be like. But she did it. When said found out from her daughter that she made it he said, " That is a tough old bird" :-) Talk to you later, insha Allah.
